Very interesting. So apparently, "homophobia" and "islamophobia" are proven to be real mental disturbances now? I doubt very much that you have scientific proof for that, Xenu. Because you'd have to know about real science for that, which you don't.

This time you mistake me for a person who believe that real life homophobia is a clinical phobia. I assume this mistake of yours is based on the passage about homophobia and such being portrayed as clinical phobias in certain works. Adding a pothole to Hollywood Personality Disorders to highlight that this is about fiction, not about how things work in real life.

Even if you had been right about my views, you should have attacked my opinion itself instead of using your usual barrage of personal insults. It wasn't okay the last number of times, and it's not okay now either. Me not knowing about real science, lol. There's a difference, you know, between not knowing enough about a certain thing and not knowing anything about anything. And as you know, my name is Xzenu. Not Xemu, Xena or Xenu.

Why was the word "islamophobia" even put in the article at all? It is just a term the slims came up with to try and shun anyone who disagrees with them. Acknowledging any validity to the term is beneath any sensible person, surely?

You mean, you want us to know that you aren't one of those people who think "homophobia" is a phobia, which is the very point of the label?

Nope, no irrational dislike of Islam or Muslims going on anywhere near here, nope nope...

I am oppressed by the ban on Real Life Examples, or I would point out my citation from Lest Darkness Fall is exactly paralleled by the English Protestants who imposed repeated legislation against Catholics and "Dissenters".

Took out this shoehorned example:

  • One of the peaks in Nineteen Eighty Four is the description of how the party is trying to write this trope into the very language of the nation, limiting the definition of the word "freedom" to mean only things such as "freedom from parasites" - literal or metaphorical alike, no doubt.

That doesn't make sense at all. Where is the book talking about such people, and by whom would they feel oppressed??

Hmm, I think 1984 does include this trope. The example description doesn't really capture it, however.
