I really don't understand this trope. I think the trope description is saying that if a work is fantastic, and "realistic" things happen, it'll move back towards fantasy again. None of the examples seem to be that, exactly. Some of them are Real After All, at least two are Cuckoo Nest of all things, there's some Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane and Or Was It a Dream?, and there's a couple of examples of Death Is Cheap But Not Immediately, which I guess is closest to the trope description, at least assuming that "people die" is, in itself, a Surprisingly Realistic Outcome in a fantastic world.
