I'm not a certified linguist, but I think "the Big Guy" is generally used colloquially to refer to God the Father, rather than to God the Son, God the Spirit or 'God' as in the Holy Trinity in general.
I don't want "THIS THEOLOGY IS INACCURATE" to become my hat or anything, but...
Under direct line to Jesus? Jesus might show up but the Big Guy won't?
If Jesus has shown up then by definition the Big Guy has shown up. Same dude. "Begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father" and all that stuff. 3 "persons," all one entity.
