I am not good as formatting, so someone else may have to insert this as an example. I am thinking about the plot of Charles Dickens’ ‘Oliver Twist’ either the book or the musical. When the street urchin ‘Artful Dodger’ takes Oliver under his wings as and into his street gang he describes the gang as ‘one big family’ that will be glad to take in Oliver as another member. And by all accounts they do so. This may just be cameradery ‘forged in fire’ but in the 1964 musical and the subsequent movie version of the play, Dodger introduces Oliver to the gang. By saying ‘then we will be your family’ and starting the song ‘“Consider yourself at home”:

Consider yourself at home Consider yourself part of the family There isn’t a lot to share Who cares What- Ever whe got, we share
