The reason that superheroes can tend to have exaggerated body language more then other types of character is due to their masks. Facial Dialogue is difficult-to-impossible when a character is wearing a mask that conceals their entire face, so lots of different techniques are used to get around this.
A few of them include: making the eyes on the mask as expressive as regular eyes, having it be taken off a lot, giving more looks into the characters thoughts and exaggerating body language (as mentioned before).
