"C.C. says she knew Benjamin Franklin." She also gets shot in the head in the first episode and then comes back. I think that does the trick.
Also, what about this trope makes it more trope-worthy than, say, finding out someone's a vampire/werewolf/witch/alien/whatever else?
(She also says that in the side materials. In the series proper, black-and-white photos of her are shown that appear to be about a century old).
