I propose an addendum to #197: "I will explain to my Legions of Terror that guns are ranged weapons and swords are not. Anyone who attempts to throw a sword at the hero or club him with a gun will be summarily executed."
This addendum will note that clubbing with a gun is acceptable if, AND ONLY IF, said ranged weapon is completely out of ammunition and/or reload magazines, and as such is only good as a bludgeoning tool at that point in time.
Hide / Show RepliesAnd what if the person you're fighting is too close for you to shoot? In real life, soldiers are taught to fight with the butt of their gun at melee range.
121. should end with "and immediately destroy it if possible"
Hide / Show RepliesThe text of the main list isn't to be edited. Since this page is locked, I assume that extends to the Cellblocks as well.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Minor error in rule 110. A space was added in "Evil Plan" link making the sentence "I will not employ [[Evil Plan devious schemes]] that involve." Have a nice day.
Hide / Show RepliesIt's been taken care of. Post in this thread if you have an edit request for a lockd page.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I think you misunderstood the point of number 116. It should actually be an "I will" not an "I will not".
Hide / Show RepliesExactly my thoughts. The hero's ship has the explosives, and thus he'll be killed once the ship has gotten far enough away from the fortress/death star that said evil lair is out of the blast range.
The Xanatos Gambit wick is incorrect. 'devious plans' should be potholed to Evil Plan
Hide / Show Replies^And again, there is a FAQ thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanConcerning #193, focusing on the damsel has potential pitfalls of its own. The last thing you may want is to instigate a Roaring Rampage of Revenge—or worse, a Moral Event Horizon crossing. Both could lead to an 11th-Hour Superpower Evil Overlords are usually incapable of anticipating.
I think number 101 needs a caveat for cases in which The Power of Love exists...You know, Harry Potter?
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Hide / Show RepliesI was going to say the same thing. At least kill the kid with mundane means, like knife/rock/wall.
Laws are made to be broken. You're next, thermodynamics.I want to add a pothole to the point "No one conquered the universe using the Beta version." We have the trope But Sir, It's Not Ready, now.
Typo in 103, missing a "to" — It should read "I simply choose not to show them any."
