A Real Life example that nobody would contest or take exception to? I can see why the rule is here, as "real life evil" is in the eye of the beholder and it's inviting flame wars - but floating this one unarguable example here for remarks. The way the Nazi German armed forces are thought of by commentators since as having the coolest and best-looking military kit - tanks especially, but also U-Boats and aircraft. Even their uniforms had a dark style to them...

Hide / Show RepliesI personally don't agree -their kit wasn 't really cooler than the Allies' one. Also, I doubt that a trope being NRLEP means you can add it here either, although I could be wrong.

Edited by DalesKaine Hide / Show RepliesIt's not so much genuine coolness as a parody. I'd prefer something more in the lines of the classic scene with Sephiroth standing in flames and looking up slowly.
I'd suggest the "Obey me world" scene from Code Geass, but it has way too many spoilers inherent to it.
Fate/zero- fate/stay night kotomine kirei emiya kiritsugu gilgamesh all of them could be considered evil, and all of them could be considered awesome, or in this case cooool many other villainous characters from these series could be definitely seen as AWESOME as well
The "Totally Spies" episode "Super Nerd Much?" deals with this trope. Arnold, a nerd, gains a magic ring that lets him become cooler by sucking the "cool DNA" out of others, "nerdifying" them. The ring also makes him more evil the cooler he gets, turning him into the episode's Bag Bad. His "wonderful toys" include a convertible armed with anti-spy gadgets, a penthouse hideout, and an airship designed to carry out his evil plan with the ring: to drain the coolness from Beverly Hills, making everyone in his words, "geekier than me."
