We have need of a broader title. Possibly as a new page instead of a rename.
Secret Of Nimh 2 for example Jenny Mc Bride catches a falling Timmy Brisby in her arms. Like a Bridal Carry.
It wasn't technically a carry though because she did not walk while holding him.
It wasn't a lift since she did not raise him up, only prevent descent.
It want necessarily effortless. She used both arms and didnt hold him very long before putting him down.
Do we havs a trope for girls catching falling guys? An identical thing to So N 2 happens in the opening of Chucks Choice and an episode of Wandering Wenda.
Edited by Axelmania"Obviously a form of Double Standard. A man carrying someone is considered omnipresent, since men excel in the physical department."
Not to complain, but a gender norm doesn't automatically mean a Double Standard. Scientific proof dictates that, on average, men tend to have more upper-body strength than women. The term now seems synonymous with "any separate set of expected gender roles". It is starting to become almost as overused (and perhaps even misused) as Unfortunate Implications.
Edited by Stoogebie Hide / Show RepliesDouble Standard has to do with the way it's used in media, not the real life gender norm. A female doing this to show strength is notable enough to get a trope page. A male doing the same is People Sit On Chairs and covered under Super-Strength.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer^That's now what People Sit On Chairs means.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerShe-Hulk being ugly has absolutely nothing to do with whether the page image is a good one or not. It's not based on what characters you, personally, do and do not like.
I already read that lu thanks, but I think the She-Hulk picture doesn´t fit with this trope.
The old image, for reference.
