This is just me, but just why would anyone eat the clue that will arrest them is beyond me... unless they were just desperate.

My parents used to tell me a story about an old woman who bludgeoned her husband to death with a frozen turkey, and then cooked it and served it to the police who came to investigate the crime. But I have no idea where this story originated (movie? TV show? urban legend?) so I don't know where to file it. Anyone heard this one?
