Removed from the page:

  • Non-alcoholic version in the Facing the Future Series. In order to help Danny cheer up over Sam being out of town, Tucker took him to an all-you-can-eat buffet. Unfortunately, due to a spell from Desiree, a Gluttony Montage followed.

This is not an example of this trope. This might be rather an example of Comfort Food.

Is there a variant trope for the old "pint of ice cream and a sad movie"? Compulsive eating of comfort food is also a valid fictitious and real life response similar to the above trope.

And is there also a variant of this with fantastic drugs instead of alcohol?

Long, long after the question was asked, but yes, there are tropes like that. Namely Comfort Food or Your Favourite and Heart Break And Ice Cream.

What series is the page pic from? None of the text seems to say.

I don't think it's a good picture for the page, myself, nop matter where it's from. If you're going to use an image from an anime/manga use one with English text, please. Cute lolita girl holding a bottle with kanji lettering doesn't mean much to us stupid Westerners. Well, to me it does raise Unfortunate Implications , but that's hardly the subject of this page.
