This entire page is very dated but I don’t have the editing/writing skills to fix it.

It is more common in TV today to use large HD screens in old school rear projection style. So a lot of the “issues” in this list have solutions. This page talks chroma replacing the need for rear projection but now we’ve gone back to a similar style we’re just better at it so none of this historical problems exist.

  • ''[[Film/TheRockyHorrorPictureShow The Rocky Horror Show]]'' starts with Brad and Janet sitting in a wooden car prop they're meant to be driving.

Pulled this from the Theatre folder. I don't remember this part of the film specifically; it might qualify. But if in the theatre production all they're doing is sitting in the car without the film projection behind, then it doesn't fit the trope.

"Replaced by chroma key"? But chroma keying a stationary car gives pretty much the same fake looking result. A much more convincing technique is filming a car being towed around on a flatbed truck.
