I felt obligated to point out that "Comparing humans to less advanced primates, like apes and monkeys..." is both extremely racist ("advanced") AND taxonomically inaccurate by implying that humans aren't apes. Apes MIGHT also be monkeys, but I don't do enough research on that area of taxonomy to know exactly whether "monkey" is a paraphyletic group of all non-ape simian primates, a non-paraphyletic group of anthropoids who appeared after other anthropoids had already split off into the branch that led to apes, or a non-paraphyletic group that includes apes.
