Should there not be at least some mention of "Tsundere"? While not frequently used to mean this, this was the original meaning of the term, and there is still a frequent overlap to this day with girls who start out pure "tsun" and wind up mostly "dere" later on. Since the term was born from this idea and still can overlap with it, it seems some reference would be in order.
Is Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice really an example of this trope? He isn't exactly cold to begin with, he's very nice to his sister the whole time, just shy in the company of strangers.
Ever17 is in there twice and I'm unsure as to what the correct method of reconciling the two entries might be. Discuss.
Edited by RovoleAnyone up for an image change? Something like this◊ that gets the point across nicely but doesn't reference an anime or manga not everyone has heard of.

- Kaim from Lost Odyssey
Defrosting Ice Queen is changing someone who is, by nature, cold and aloof with the power of friendship and romance. In Lost Odyssey, the only reason Kaim was cold and aloof was because he was literally brainwashed. What's more, the only romance that developed for him after ceasing to be so, was the same romance he'd already long since formed.

We might need a trope branch off for extreme versions of this called "Easily Defrosted Ice Queen" or "Microwaving The Ice Queen" for examples where a cold, harsh love interest ends up falling for the person wooing them so easily it risks breaking suspension of disbelief. Jovie in Elf is a great example. She started out bored with her job, annoyed with him, then he shows a smidgen of kindness and she turns into a female version of him almost instantly. It's funny and because Elf is a kids movie it can be expected, but this isn't the only example. Should a trope branch off be created? Or is this just this trope handled poorly?
