Not sure if this is quite enough of an example for the main page: It's fairly normal in judo matches, especially at the more amateur levels, for uniforms to get mussed and undone to varying degrees. Although it's rare to see this genuinely threaten modesty (it's hard to lose your pants or for a woman to end up topless), newcomers can still feel very uncomfortable to have their top untucked from the belt and spread open when facing an immaculately-uniformed opponent, and they'll usually want to stop and redo their clothing. This is allowed - but it's not immediately apparent that there are no rules protecting somebody distracted by doing so and whose hands are busy. People learning judo tend to learn to wait for the right moment to adjust their clothes, do so while taking a half step backwards and without looking away from the other person, and to not even try something which takes longer than about three seconds (avoiding contact with the other person is a disqualifiable offense).

In the "Love is Blind" episode of "Bewitched" (http://www.tv.com/shows/bewitched/love-is-blind-21369/) Samantha tries this on Susan by making the straps of Susan's dress break. Susan, however, does not accept Defeat by Modesty and Samantha has to follow-up by unraveling Susan's hairdo. Susan runs off accepting Defeat by Vanity.

During a fight at the Prom in "Zapped!" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084945/) Heather Thomas, the Prom Queen, beans Scott Baio, who she doesn't know is telekinetic, with a watermellon. Scott responds by stripping Heather's prom gown off her by telekinesis. She abandons the fight and runs away accepting Defeat by Modesty.

I wonder if Robotnik took off Sonic's shoes and gloves, he would FINALLY defeat The Hero by modesty?
