Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryGreat, this trope's starting to decay because of the Badass Glare redirect I've added, isn't it?
Edited by NateSpidgewoodWhile there is nothing wrong with the current page image, I couldn't help but think of a possible better one. In the opening credits of Batman The Animated Series, Batman gives two bank robbers a fantastic death glare. If someone were able to find and upload a picture of it, it would possibly be better than the current picture, as I believe this is a trope that would be better be shown by a cartoon rather than a Live-Action photograph, as a cartoon Death Glare is exaggerated, making it a much clearer example of this trope. What does anyone else think?
"Men are still good. We fight, we kill, we betray one another, but we can rebuild. We can do better. We will. We have to." - Bruce Wayne Hide / Show RepliesI know the scene you mean, but I don't think it's really a death glare. It's Batman standing there with his usual (in that show) impassiveness, saying without words "You know who I am. You know what's about to happen." While it has the EFFECT of one, it's not exactly the same thing, I believe.
If I may ask whoever is responsible, what was wrong with the original picture (Adama from Battlestar Galactica, visible on the image links)? That photo sent a genuine chill down my spine when I first saw it. The "death glare" in the current image is wordy, has the word "GLARE" written right next to it (which leads me to suggest ShowDontTell) and just doesn't feel as elegant as the original, as well as losing much of its poignancy. As well, the page quote fitted the original almost perfectly as a caption. Replacing it was a step down, in my opinion.
Edited by mezimmRead through this thread — it's three pages about how good/bad the old one was and choosing a new one.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
