I removed the Real Life example about Pandas, because it was basically a general statement about them being cute rather than a specific example. I don't know about the example involving some kids, because I can't view videos right now.
I also edited that God-awful example about the otters. They're cute, but whoever wrote the example overdid it. Plus they neglected to mention the video contained the trope, and just made it sound like they themselves were distracted by the cutie.
Please let's not misuse this as "I think this is cute".
Edited by Webby Actually a girl.setsuna and mana in negima is likes those things too. and sakurako in hana yori dango and all the others who has heel face turn too.
seto kibra in yugioh is only soft side is for mokura no one else!!!!
rapheal in both movie and 2k3 he is usually rough-around-edges hothead who refuse to show all his emotion but anger,he show has soft side to yoshi and tyler and he even called cody cute when sterling shows pictures of cody when he was a baby, leo might be one too, despite his hardnosed uptight behavior.
Removed from the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 example for possible correction: "** A minor Running Gag has the guys react to any dog appearing in the movie they're watching by cooing "Puppy!" and trying to get its attention. Even if it's supposed to be the monster of the film."
My experience with this gag was to hear Servo say "Humphrey!" which is the name of Kevin Murphy's adorable dog (he played the terrifying wolf at the end of "Werewolf"). "Puppy!" is not, to my experience, a running gag, any more than "Kitty!" in similar circumstance. Whether "Humphrey!" counts is unclear to me.
