I have to ask, what's the difference between this and Cultured Badass? Maybe it's something I'm missing but from the description of both they really overlap with one another.

Please add Colonel William Travis of "The Alamo" to the list of examples. Cultured, sophisticated, able to tear up when Colonel Bowie joins up at the final battle but completely bad-ass enough to earn the respect of John Wayne's Crockett and his men. Shooting that guy off the horse in front of the gate? Pure nerves-of-steel badassery.
