A trope description page in the Main index shouldn't be a Self-Demonstrating Article, should it? That's not a very effective way to define a trope.

Examples Are Not Arguable

This article seems to drift back and forth between Crazy Prepared and whatever our trope for being shell-shocked is. Some other troper will have to fix this ;)

Funny note, I read somewhere that in an After the End scenario, one of the potentially most useful survival skills might be making alcohol.

Seriously, alcohol has so many uses:

• Disinfectant (there's a reason that pre-modern medicine, the main antibiotic was overproof drink)
• Safe drinking liquid (most unfiltered water is gonna be filled with germs and impurities, which alcohol can counteract)
• Trade goods
• Makeshift explosives
• Dealing with the fact that you're living in the ruins of a once-great civilisation, with thousands dead and millions suffering. (or vice versa, depending on how bad it was)
