Would it be possible for me to add my own Crack Fic to this page, or is that not allowed?
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."I don't think the Supernatural example qualifies as a crack fic. Supernatural canonically demolished the fourth wall. Destiel and Sastiel were both mentioned in an episode, there has been a canon Supernatural convention, and the brothers are aware of the fanfiction about themselves. The only way I would agree that this could be crack is if anyone thinks that Sam would be distraught about the idea that no one wrote about him anymore. Seems like a toss up to me.
"Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder" is listed under "Tabletop Games" and "Other". One should probably be removed... which one?
Should I add Sengoku Basara? It sure looks like an example, but I haven't played it yet so I'm not completely sure...
Hide / Show RepliesIs that a fanwork? It doesn't look like that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOkay, who in the hell posted that page quote? Because you are suddenly my best friend.
Does anyone else think Robot Chicken deserves a mention here? It doesn't fit into either Official or Fan Works though, is the problem.
Hide / Show RepliesI guess it could be kind of "official", in that it's it's own show on Adult Swim, but...isn't there a Meta section? Ugh, I dunno...you're right, it is confusing.
That seventh sanctum generator is awesome.
"This fanfic is about Mara Jade (Star Wars) fighting Poison Ivy (Batman) with a transforming robot."
Does the :-0 part mean screaming in disgust?
"War has nothing to do with humanity. War is something inhuman." - Zlata Filipovich"That?!? Psh. That's nothing. Read [link->]this[<-link] to see what happens when the whole Marvel crew starts smoking crack."
This links to what appears to be copyrighted material hosted on RS. On top of that, FT is one of the many shady aggregators out there and has a lot of very visible QC on almost every page; I don't imagine anyone would want this in their browser history. The link should probably be removed.
What about original works in this style? Do they belong here? Because I haven't found an alternative page for them, and it would be weird to have a separate page for a non-fanfic version of the same thing.
The "official" section seems to consist of crossovers, in-universe fanfics, etc.
I can think of a few works that could count as original crack. McNinja, Iron Sky, Kung Fury, Jesus Christ: In the Name of the Gun, maaaybe Atomic Robo... There's also the Shark Punching Centre, which isn't strictly original fiction, but it's not fanfic, either. Part of a shared setting different people contribute to. It's hard to classify. It's an SCP thing.
