Seems like this and Hairpin Lockpick should be mentioned in each other's "compare" sections, since they're basically the same trope with different bonds/escape tools.

Would DarkMessiah count as this trope, due to having a lot of convenient spiked portcullises that you can kick your enemies into?

Only if they were tied up before you kicked them into the spikes, and they then used the spiked to escape.

Should we change this? There's two very distinct different types of this trope, one of which doesn't involve a sharp thing. It should either be split into two tropes, or have a name change.

I agree. The second type of this trope should be split into its own page. Or as a compromise, The break-hand-version should be lumped with Life-or-Limb Decision. But I think it should get its own page. The new page could be called "To Escape, Break Bone" or something like that. Anyone else have another idea of what to do?
