No, this is a meta-trope. I'm not sure we currently have a trope about in-story contracts for immortality. Might want to check YKTTW.

Just a head's up, some of the examples (specifically inversions) will probably get cut as I am in the process of creating a YKTTW called Contractual Mortality
Would contractual immortality include literal, tangible contracts for immortality? I've seen at least a couple of those, usually regarding psychopomps.
