Agreed— this trope is about the Law of Conservation of Detail with regards to volcanoes, which obviously does not apply to real life. If we want a list of potentially dangerous real life volcanoes and unforeseen volcanic eruptions, we can make a useful notes page.

Should we really list subversions and aversions? Then it will just as easily become "every time a volcano appears in fiction".
"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."
Should we remove the Real Life section from this one? It's pretty specifically a fiction trope - in reality it's NOT guaranteed that every volcano will inevitably erupt at some future point. So the Real Life section has just become a list of active volcanoes, which is not the same thing as this trope.
