"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe description of this trope is unclear, and fails to differentiate it from Flanderization.
The vast majority of trope instances cited could easily fit under Flanderization, at any rate.
Hide / Show RepliesSeconded. Ironically, the trope itself has become Flanderized.
Tumblr|deviantArt|How to Be a furryI say the fault lies with the name.
EDIT: Even Flanderization says that this trope is: "Flanderization by Medium Change". Forget the Shop, To YKTTW!
EDIT 2: Or perhaps we could compare with Same Character, But Different. That trope has different character traits applied over (In-Universe) time, whereas what we'd want is one applied by Medium Shift.
Edited by DonaldthePotholerIs there even a difference between Character Exaggeration and Flanderization? They're separate trope pages, but they sure seem similar.
Not my circus, not my monkeys.I still don't understand the difference based on the current trope description.
The examples under Spongebob are just Flanderisation rather than this trope.
