Reading this trope reminded me of the game Crimson Sea, where the main character is explicitly stated to shave years off of his life every time he uses his powers. He does so anyway because not doing so would mean he couldn't (1) save his friends, & (2) save the world. (Just putting it out there, because I'd have no idea how to work it all in and link it properly myself)
Deleted the following from Tabletop RPG - Dungeons And Dragons, as it just doesn't fit: draining Experience Points does not make you older at all.
- There's also many spells and processes that had Experience Points as part of their cost. Considering that XP can represent all sorts of things, this likely fits.
