Shouldn't the MCU Guardians of the Galaxy count as Casette Futurism? Most of it's soundtrack is composed of 70s and possibly 80s music, and the aesthetic seems to fit the criteria.

The description of this trope talks about a particular kind of future aesthetics, but a lot of these examples only talk about Technology Marches On. We already have that trope.

Needed an image, created one. It is a very late 80s early 90s sci-fi look too.
I want to see a more radical 90's style of Cassette Futurism, where the tech is all encased in a colorful transparent plastic and you can see all the microchips beneath it. Imagine a robot designed like that!
