Does anyone else get the feeling this page should be split? The name Boss Dissonance doesn't even make sense- this trope seems to be about design style dynamics of regular levels and bossed compared to one another. The title implies something about a game's bosses in general.

I agree it could be split just by virtue of being too damn long, but I'm not sure I understand why the two topics you presented should or would be seen as exclusive.

Possible example... Banjo Kazooie is globally a Kirby-type (the final boss is a big difficulty spike) but the individual levels are Mario types
