My family is certainly this. I'm a hyperactive smart child, my mom's a drama teacher, my dad's a social networking geek, my brother is a snarky artist, my uncle is an adult child who likes guns, one grandmother is overly friendly, the other is kind of... exact, my grandpa is a barbequing postal worker, my other grandfather is kind of... not around anymore, one family friend is old and friendly, and the other is young and hyper, my aunt is often sick, and the only normal one (for now) is my 11-month old cousin. She's the only one who hasn't been dropped on their head, or dropped me or my brother on our heads. But she's not even a year old yet, so that's bound to change.
In practice, how different is this trope from Dysfunctional Family? There seems to be a lot of overlap.
