You know the One Last Smoke trope? In-Universe, through Fridge Brilliance we have SCP-4999 to thank for that as he was the first (recorded) instance doing that by appearing to people about to die unloved and forgotten, and staying with them to prevent them from Dying Alone, and early human writings made references to him... Would he count?
