Under the "Films - Live Action" folder it lists Wookies as Ursine Aliens, except that they aren't. According to Wookiepedia and "The Essential Guide to Alien Species", Wookies are primates. It was said that when ROTJ was filming, Peter Mayhew, while he was in costume, had to be escorted by workers in brightly colored vests so that the public wouldn't mistake him for Bigfoot.

All right, who changed the name? I thought it was Everything's Worse With Bears!

The thing is, it was a snowclone and that's not good. The current name is clear and not a snowclone.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Well, at least the name change wasn't Trope Name Blandification...

As I understood it a snowclone is only bad if it a) does not work as a title independently of what it clones, or b) is unrelated to what it clones and thus cause confusion. How was "Everything's worse with bears" guilty of either of these? Most of the rest of Everything's Better With Indexes consists of this kind of snowclones, so why was this one singled out? Also someone has to rename and at-least edit the Everythings Worse With Snowclones article now that it's second example (itself) is no longer an example... this all seams to me to be so much work and discord for so little benefit.

Everything's Lamer with Name Changes. Furthermore...there should be a Site News link on the front page with a list of tropes up for name changes so everyone can at least go in and voice their complaints before the names are inevitably changed to something Captain Obvious would say.

Especially where snowclones are actually only a problem if, as said on the administrivia page, "If your trope title completely relies on the idea that "surely, everyone read that other page- I just have to make a pun with it"," it seems like the funny name (and crazy-overdosed link) would be perfectly fine at connotating that everything is worse with bears.

(also I think it was the first "everything's worse" title, so it wouldn't be a snowclone anyhow)

Everything's Worse with Bears > Bears Are Bad News. Seriously, there's no need to change them. They both imply the same thing so function is irrelevant. If we go purely on which sounds better, it's the original title because it's funny and an in-joke of the Everything's Better/Worse With Tropes.

Yeah, I have to agree. Not only was it first (thus not a snowclone, everything that came after was at fault) but completely understandable on its own. The only one that needed changing was Everything Is Even Worse With Sharks, just because it was one word longer than the others.

The first name according to the forum thread was actually the Monkeys one. Plus, the other side of the problem with the Everythings Better With X tropes is that they were using the snowclone differently.

I'm surprised there haven't been movies with bears the size of King Kong or Godzilla.

I believe Son of Kong had a giant bear in it at some point.
