So, was it the nun or the Father?
- Father O'Malley in Going My Way and The Bells of Saint Mary's. He sees no harm in teaching boys self-defense, but it's one of many things his superiors are uncomfortable with.
- Actually, in The Bells of Saint Mary's, it's the Nun who buys a book on boxing to teach her favorite student how to beat up Father O'Malley's favorite student
