To add a little clarity (or confusion if I'm completely wrong) Artists Are Not Architects has more to do with inconsistent depictions of a character's height relative to another or the size of a bad guy's evil lair changing between episodes. You Fail Engineering Forever is when a structure is completely impossible and likely to collapse, unless it's being done on purpose.

I've added the above to Canonical List of Subtle Trope Distinctions. Why that wasn't already there I've no idea. On a related note, Artists Are Not Architects is a terrible title, as neither of those words brings to mind "people's heights vary wildly relative to other objects". Sending to Trope Repair Shop.
