There is an argument for "pay talk talk talk": that way, you know you were able to pay for it, and are less likely to be surprised by the bill.
Hypothetical examples: Two hours on TracFone will cost more than the two-hour plan on AT&T. But if you use two hours on AT&T with the one-and-a-half hour plan, the overage fee for the extra half hour might cost more than two hours of TracFone.

What is the difference between this and Dancing Bear? Would this be a subtrope of Dancing Bear in that both are about media whose selling point is something other than the quality of the work but that Dancing Bear does not necessarily have to be something new (such as a movie starring a non-actor to draw in fans of that person)?
