This trope is invoked in Jimmy Neutron when Hugh teaches Jimmy about acting.
Hugh: When an anvil drops on your head, you go. Um, "AH! THERE'S AN ANVIL ON MY HEAD! OW. IT HURTS!"
Removed this from the article:

Because Drop the Cow isn't about dropping things on people; it's about cutting a comedy sketch short in a deliberately wacky way when it threatens to outstay its welcome. That trope is seeing so much misuse due to people only seeing the name.
