So I noticed main image has been like this for a very long time now and it feels outdated as it only consists of anime characters from the early 2000s and before that (and I doubt most people nowadays would not remember most of the anime characters in this collage). I was thinking of replacing it with a collage or a montage that also features more modern anime.

So in the "animated film" category, only western (non Japanese) are put separately from television animation,but for anime,film is classified as "anime" rather than "animated film".For example,a western animated movie would be put under the "animated film" category,but an anime film would be put under the "anime" category.So can we fix that sometime?

I second this, though there is also a lot of overlap in adaptations involving visual novels and light novels as well. Would we include visual and light novels with anime or manga adaptations in the same index?

What’s the origin of the old page quote/image caption? Some searching tells me it was added to the page sometime between 2007-2008
