Why is this a separate trope from Beat Still, My Heart? Sure, in the latter your heart needs to still be beating, but they are otherwise interchangeable.

I still have all of my teeth. Two of them are pickled in little vials of 190-proof isopropanol (one in pieces, the other whole), but I still have them.
I also took a look at (and photographed) a large cyst, after it was removed from the side of my head, a few months ago, but before it was sent to Pathology, to be analyzed. I was really glad that I was already sutured, cleaned up, and off the table before I saw it.
