"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
The trope description says it's "The hero's schtick is they have amnesia, as the ultimate mysterious past. Nobody knows their backstory, not even them". Many examples are "The hero, who we know well, has a story where they get amnesia, and then it's resolved by the end of the story".
