Being "drunk" on power, like in A God Am I, is not sufficient. Giygas is the Trope Namer, so look to him for your answer.
That should also be in "adaptational dumbass" since God is all-knowing.
God is like this in Miracle Workers, which really offended my mom (if you couldn't tell, I come from a religious Christian family). I mean He couldn't even figure out how to use a fucking microwave! I'm pretty sure the all-knowing being who created the Earth, as well as man, would know how to use a man-made appliance!

Does anyone think this trope should be split between 'essentially nonsapient' (i.e. Gigyas, Azathoth, Calamity Ganon) and 'sapient, but really stupid' (i.e. Anthony Fremont, the Gnostic Demiurge, Bahgtru, Pree Aesma.
