Ack, didn't consider people who didn't take Spanish in high school. :{
"Byer" is one syllable (say "bee" and "air", then say it really fast so they slur together), "re" is pronounced "ray" like in "Raymond". I'll edit it to make it clearer.

Is it just me or does "al-cu-BYER-re" not really work as a pronunciation guide? I can figure out the first two syllables, which weren't a problem in the actual word, but is 'byer' pronounced like 'buyer' or like the first syllable of 'bureaucrat'? Is 're' pronounced with a schwa or as 'ree'?
