The tropes Evil Albino and Heroic Albino need to be reinstated as separate articles from the Albinos Are Freaks trope. First and foremost because the Albinos Are Freaks trope is only really applicable to characters who are 1: explicitly stated in the text to be albinos, 2: outcasts within the story's universe, and 3: explicitly stated to be outcast because of their albinism. In contrast I can list a few characters who don't meet this criteria but would fit in with either of the original tropes:

Heroic Albinos

  • Bell Cranel from Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon: He has white hair and red eyes, the typical earmarks of albinism, but is never explicitly referred to as such nor is he treated like an outcast.
  • George from Rampage (2018): He is both quite clearly meant to be an albino gorilla and is also the heroic monster in the story without much emphasis on his pigmentation.

Evil Albinos

  • The Albino Klingon from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: While it is true that he is only ever referred to as "the Albino" his status as an outcast more comes from his dishonorable method of killing his enemies.
  • The Albino Gyaos from the fan film Gamera 4: Truth: Its albinism mostly serves to as the main villian and distinguish it from the flock of Gyaos it leads.

We've lost a huge amount of stuff from merging the two previous pages about people with albinism into one. As somebody who actually has albinism this really saddens me, as I was always keen to see things getting added to the Heroic Albino page. The latter have suffered especially badly, because works that tend to treat people with albinism in a positive light tend to not treat them as freaks, or at least downplays that aspect (with a few very cringy exceptions like Powder).
