Since this trope is based on the actor's celebrity status rather than something purely in the work itself, maybe all examples should be sorted by celebrity first?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Why not have a picture of Adam West from Family Guy since the trope is named after him?
Hide / Show RepliesIf you can find a good image that isn't JAFAAC and illustrates the trope then sure, take it to Image Pickin'.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. Is this somehow twisted/inverted in real life with the tale of the guys trying to mug Chuck Norris? (That is... he was type-casted, but the muggers thought he couldn't do any of them karate-things in real life.)
This HAS to relate somehow...
Norm Macdonald was a guest character on My Name Is Earl in the episode "Two Balls, Two Strikes" as "Lil Chubby", the son of "Chubby" (played by Burt Reynolds), similar to Macdonald's portrayals of Burt Reynolds on Saturday Night Live.
Removed from under the mention of Adam West being D.B. Cooper on Newsradio
- Probably a Shoutout to TJ Hooker, played by trope runner-up William Shatner.
Because D.B. Cooper was a real person, and definitely not a shoutout to T.J. Hooker.
Hide / Show RepliesHow about Leonard Nemoy, and his books "I am Not Spock", and "I am Spock"?
For archival purposes: Rename discussion in this thread. Single proposition crowner here, and if it succeeds, the alt-titles crowner will be here.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Picture removed for being Just A Face And A Caption. I recognize that actor, and I still have no idea how he's supposed to be an example of Adam Westing.
See you in the discussion pages.
