Not YMMV anymore? Did I miss something?

I got my political views from reddit and that's bad

I've noticed that many demographics, such as women and gay people, are both in the "Once Acceptable Targets" and other "Acceptable Targets" categories. Why?

Feminist dogma precludes admitting there's no patriarchy, which would be required to admit women aren't acceptable targets, while men are.

Why aren't parents (not just adults in general) on this list? (Note: Much pop culture says the same things that feminists do even if they don't think of themselves as feminists.)

Maybe there should be an "acceptable under certain circumstances" section, like obesity if it's non-genetic.

Where should the Call of duty franchise go ? I mean, it's pretty much the Acceptable Videogame Target of the Internet.

A specific explanation of why you consider it an Acceptable Target.

This trope really needs a Flamebait symbol on it.

Could there be some subgroup "Acceptable Fantasy Targets" or is that considered completely outside this trope's scope, as in "they don't need this trope, because they're not real"...

Current second Paragraph beginning with "political correctness" comes off as too much of a grievance against quoted topic. I propose altering it (or downright replacing it) to emphasize the subjectivity and historicity that goes into what makes a 'proper' group to other and belittle. Without draining the humor from it, of course. At least, I hope those "powerful" minority groups described were meant to be something of a joke, like a Stonecutters Illuminati Protocols of the Elders of Zion kind of thing.

Does the Ex-Gay Movement really belong in the "Acceptable Sexual Targets" article? Those people ARE self-deluded, closeted homosexual loons, so why shouldn't they be portrayed in media like that?

"Those people ARE self-deluded, closeted homosexual loons, so why shouldn't they be portrayed in media like that? "

Who says? Are you claiming it is impossible to change one's sexual tastes or only impossible for gays?

Acceptable Targets does not mean that they are necessarily a victim of unfair prejudice, hell bastards like the Westboro Baptist Church make the list so adding people who are commonly used as a target for jokes seems entirely reasonable.

OR, a group whose existence conflicts with the "born gay to stay" belief, which must be explained(excused) away for the notion to continue to make sense.

. "The English, Canadians, Australians, and New Zealanders each persist in claiming that the other country has a tradition of sodomizing sheep, as well as overall national bigotry. There's no particular reason for this, other than thousands of years of wars"

Er, there were thousands of years of wars between English, Canadians, Australians, and New Zealanders?

No but the real unforunate thing is that this would be completely accurate if the example where "The English, Scotish, and Irish all claim the others have a tradition of sheep-fucking and bigotry" it would be very true to life.

Should premature ejaculators be listed on here under "Acceptable Sexual Targets" or "Acceptable Hard-Luck Targets"? I haven't seen anything of the sort at all, and a search for the words produced nothing. This post may be a bit too early to do much good, since I'm still kind of new here, but I was just curious as to whether or not it should be listed at all.

Why aren't homosexuals and bisexuals in Acceptable Sexual Targets? They still are acceptable targets in most places in the world, especially in the more conservative leaning areas of the U.S.
