It's a formatting error.
One dash - will create a hyphen.
Two dashes — will create a long dash.
Three dashes —- (which is what was on this page) will create a long dash and a hyphen. This is always a formatting error.
Four dashes will create a horizontal line across the page, which is used at the bottom of pages.
