Hide / Show RepliesIf you don't know the ending, I suggest you stick it out. Let's just say you might be surprised by what the Sword does.
Oh, and I will never understand the LOTR comparisons. There's some similiarities, but at the end of the day, the character's are pretty different.
And besides, Edgy, I don't see the point of complaining about a book you don't like on a wikia-like site anyway....
I haven't hard time getting through this Sword of Shannara. I've just gotten through "The Council of Elron" scene. So far, the book seems like a watered down Fellowship of the Ring.
Hide / Show RepliesExcept that, it manages to water down the whole Tolkienian door-stopper in about half a book. The other half starts to be quite different somehow. But apparently it doesn't stop fans of TheLordOfTheRings from accusing the whole series to be a rip-off, even if they read only the first book.
