Wendy Pini of Elf Quest fame tried to do an animated adaption of Elric's tale in college. Though the project was never completed, for a while she sold the collected artwork in book form: Law and Chaos: The Stormbringer Animated Film Projects. And it is bloody awesome.

I pulled the following, due to it not being an actual trope. If someone wants to stick it under Trivia or an appropriate YMMV item, go ahead.
- Dungeons And Dragons: The original edition of Deities & Demigods had a chapter devoted to the Elric Mythos (and another chapter devoted to the Cthulhu Mythos), but copyright disputes prevented these chapters from appearing in later editions of the book (the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser chapter got to stay, though).
