In the example for "A Nazi By Any Other Name," it says: For contrast, their head of security, "Fairy" Hardcastle, is a gender flipped version of Beria (written decades before him in a lucky guess).

But That Hideous Strength was published in 1945, when Lavrenty Beria had been People's Commissar for Internal Affairs of the Soviet Union for about seven years. While his detailed reputation (for instance, as a rapist) might well not have been known at the time in Britain, the book was very much written during Beria's life, when he was a well-known secret police leader. I didn't want to go in and change the text without checking on this, but it seems strange.

If you find an inconsistency, just change it and go on your merry way :)

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few - until you are one of the "few".
