This trope has been re-defined. I don't know whether this example is valid for the new definition. It may need rewording to show how it fits the new definition. If it's valid, please restore it here and on the trope page.

I find some of the things in this page to be rather funny. Several of the characters in the book are based on actual real life friends of the author. Yes Banner and Jurrel are real people, and the way we act in the book is pretty much the way we are in real life. -Banner (and yes I know who are the 'real' people and who are not)
