Only partly. Ginka's a weird case even by GID and transsexual standards. He's implied to have gone down that path as a sort of rebellion against his family on account of things they'd done to people he loved. He generally doesn't go so far as to call himself female, and he has absolutely no problem literally "manning up" when his family needs him. In fact, the fact that he becomes so masculine in desperate situations may suggest that that's his real self.
Is there any way someone who knows the novels or knows enough Japanese to understand the Japanese wiki could use those to update the tropes? I don't know enough to understand everything on the Wikipedia page, though using an online translator it looks like the Enka legend is later elaborated and turns out to be much more complicated than a simple demonic monster wanting to destroy the world For the Evulz. I'm not 100% certain, but it looked like he might have started out more human, and turned on account of some betrayal... may be a little cliché, but it's only cliché because it works: there's few ways to create a monster better than taking a normal guy and breaking him over and over until he finally turns.
