I'm not exactly disputing it, but I'd be interested to know if there was any confirmation that Granny and Cutangle's duel was specifically a reference to a Steeleye Span track? I'm prepared to believe it, since it seems in keeping with Terry's musical tastes. But the trope of 'witch and wizard in transformation battle' is as old as the hills (another modern use of the trope is in Disney's The Sword In The Stone) so this on its own doesn't seem enough to link them
The Folklore of Discworld doesn't mention the song when it covers the transformation battle scene, and it's normally pretty thorough, so I wondered.
