Edited the "Did Not Do The Research" section, removing a sentence that Hidalgo isn't near the Yucatan peninsula. Since Hidalgo is a fictional country, it's pretty much wherever the hell Lester Dent says it is. Plus it's pretty obviously an expy of Honduras, which _is_ near Yucatan.

As currently written this isn't example.

  • Celibate Hero: If Doc had a weakness, it was that his training was done solely by men, leaving him ill-prepared to deal with women. So he usually didn't try, foisting their care off on one of his companions. Although in The Freckled Shark Doc, in disguise as fun-loving Henry Peace, has no trouble wooing the ladies.
